Giant Step Films was founded in 2012, and is based in Austin, Texas. Through this company, Kevin and Joshua have dedicated themselves to creating honest and inspiring documentaries.

Joshua David Matthews, Producer/Director
has written, produced, and directed numerous short films; most recently his thesis film Dawn, which has been screened at many film festivals, including the Cannes Film Festival and Manhattan Film Festival. After graduating, Joshua was accepted for an internship with the Savannah Ocean Exchange in participation with National Geographic, where he was hired to direct five short videos showcasing new technologies and ideas that will benefit the ways in which people interact with the oceans.

Kevin Ray, Producer/Editor
has worked as an editor on numerous short films, including Dawn, where he also served as an Associate Producer. Before graduating, Kevin won an internship in the Editorial Department on the feature film Savannah. He has, since then, worked for White House Post in Los Angeles, edited the feature film The Shift (staring Danny Glover), and most recently worked as Assistant Editor on the feature film CBGB.
